Most people are content to think of a hometown as just a spot on a map. It is probably a stretch to even give my small hometown of Ririe that much credit. With a population of only 596 (on a good day) it is easily overlooked. In the ‘bigger is better’ society of today ‘small’ is often ignored or forgotten.
The small town life style is disappearing, forgotten by those whom it had once benefited and have since moved away. If small town America is forgotten by its own, then where will its memory be fostered when these towns have changed or disappeared? i wanted a way for my small town to tell its own story before it grew to late.
Here is what it told.
