In a remote side canyon that drains into the Colorado River as it cuts through the Grand Canyon is located one of the world's greatest hidden wonders.

The primary access to this area involves a ten mile backpacking treck through a desolate and hot desert canyon (albeit beautiful in it's own rights). The steady vista of red and rock lulls you into a perfect mindset to appreciate the unexpected contrast that awaits you at the end of your hike.

Cascading pools and towering waterfalls are filled with a blue-green water that looks as foreign to the red cliffs that surround it as man must have looked on the moon. Not only is the power and beauty a visual treat that I have yet to surpass but the nature of the water and minerals allow the area to shape and mold itself seemingly overnight. As a result each time I have been able to visit, the changes that had occured in me are dwarfed by the changes that surround me.

Again I am reminded of man's place in the world. Naive guardians in a paradise that we fail to fully comprehend.
Here is what it told.
